The South African passport leaves much to be desired when it comes to global access and travel. In fact, it doesn’t give much visa free access at all and lengthy and costly visa applications are something that South African citizens have come to live with. Which is why many South Africans with the means have started looking at what citizenship programmes they may have access to around the world.

With many citizenship programmes popping up over the last few years, Grenada’s Citizenship-by-Investment Program is one of the most sought-after in the world given the Program’s unique benefits. The Program permits dual citizenship and is strictly governed by state laws and regulations. Grenada is the only Caribbean CBI Program that allows citizens the opportunity to participate in the US E-2 Program (allowing investors to invest and reside in the United States), and has the widest travel benefits when compared with its Caribbean peers – including, visa free travel to China.

Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada is a government approved project that stands out as the most attractive investment opportunity under the Citizenship-by-Investment Program. Six Senses is known around the globe for its sustainable building and operating practices as well as its delivery of world-class wellness programs. This project will mark the brand’s entry into the Caribbean with an opening scheduled for 2022.

An investment, in addition to the associated government fees (through a limited partnership structure) in Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada, entitles you to apply for citizenship of Grenada.

Range Developments is the market leading developer of branded hotels in the Eastern Caribbean that are funded through Citizenship-by-Investment. Range is focused on developing high-end resorts in the Caribbean that are well-designed, sustainable and desirable. Range is the only CBI developer who has completed two 5-star luxury resorts.

Range’s flagship project, Park Hyatt St. Kitts opened to guests on 1 November 2017. This luxury resort has received multiple awards and has been widely recognized in the international media. CNN has singled it out as “the Best New Hotel in the Caribbean” with Forbes naming it “a grand Caribbean debut”. Park Hyatt St Kitts has been included in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 Hot List as one of the “Best New Hotels in the World”.

In October 2019, Range Developments opened the Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski, Dominica. The resort has been named “Hottest New Hotel Openings of Fall 2019” by Condé Nast Traveler.
