Coach, a global design house of modern luxury leather goods, apparel and lifestyle accessories, today announces the opening of the brand’s new store at V&A Waterfront Mall in Cape Town. The V&A Waterfront store is Coach’s second store in South Africa.The nearly 108 square-meter space was designed by Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers in partnership with William Sofield, designer and president of Studio Sofield. Featuring the brand’s distinctive modern luxury concept, the store environment is warm and inviting, with leather and natural wood finishes that reflect the sophisticated yet playful refinement of New York — the city Coach has always called home.
The store features a wide assortment of Coach merchandise for women and men including bags, small leather goods, footwear, accessories, and jewelry. It will also offer special services to customers, including personalized monogramming and a variety of uniquely customized Coach stamps.
To celebrate the opening, the brand hosted a special event at the store this evening. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails named after popular Coach bags and New York-inspired bites while listening to music by Isibane se Afrika choir.
Notable guests in attendance included Tshepi Vundla, Twiggy Moli, Cassandra Twala, Wijdan Arendse, Nabilah Kariem, Sergio Ines, and Lauren Campbell.
